Namron Simplify system
What should I consider before getting started?
For the best possible experience with Namron Simplify, it’s helpful to go through some key preparations and considerations in advance.
Location of devices
Place devices close to each other to ensure reliable communication and maintain redundancy in case individual units fail due to interference or defects.
For the best experience, install powered devices approximately 5 meters apart indoors, and never more than 10 meters. Battery-powered devices should be positioned no more than 5 meters from a powered device to optimize battery life and overall performance.
Simplify Gateway
A Simplify Gateway expands the capabilities of the Namron Simplify system. While Bluetooth communication can be handled locally without a gateway, the gateway enables remote access when you are away from home. It also allows you to connect Zigbee devices, create automations, and integrate with external systems via Matter*.
If you plan to install a Namron Simplify Gateway, place it centrally in your home and near the devices that will be part of the system. Ideally, position it within 5 meters of the nearest powered device. We recommend having several powered devices close to the gateway for a faster and more stable system. The Simplify Gateway can connect to your local network and the internet either via Ethernet cable or wirelessly through Wi-Fi.
*Matter support will be enabled later through a firmware update.
Order of device inclusion
We recommend adding all powered devices first, before including battery-powered devices, whenever possible. This helps establish a strong and stable network.
Assembly of powered and battery units
Refer to System Limitations for an overview of the maximum number of units and their allowed combinations. The Simplify system is based on mesh technology, meaning communication occurs from powered unit to powered unit, or from battery unit to powered unit.
For each powered unit in the system, up to 10 battery-powered units are allowed. Please note that these devices must be placed close to each other, as a single powered unit can communicate with a maximum of 10 other units.
System limitations
There are certain limitations within the system that you should be aware of. While the system will not prevent you from adding more devices, exceeding the recommended limits may negatively impact performance and stability.
